Sui Dhaaga: Varun Dhawan-Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma was introduced to her spooky self in the new poster of her March 2 release Pari. Later she realised the first look from the movie Sui dhaga. Varun Dhawan is also in the film. In the film, Anushka is a simpleton named Mamta. Varun Dhawan is a young man Mauji who takes you back to a bygone era. with his mustached look. Sui Dhaaga is a film about finding love and respect through self-reliance. It is a heart-warming story that is rooted in the Indian milieu. it celebrates the spirit of self-reliance. 

Varun Dhawan said I am proud to take the message.  I really liked the script that Sharat had written and I am happy that I am teaming up with YRF on this one.  The film, directed by Dum Laga Ke Haisha director Sharat Katariya and bankrolled by Maneesh Sharma under the banner of Yash Raj Films, will hit the theatres on September 28, a few days ahead of Gandhi Jayanti.

Anushka dons the simple look. She is named Mamta. She’s seen wearing a saree. bangles and blushes like any 80s or 90s newly married girl would.

Both actors worked very hard in this movie. The main requirement was to learn to stitch.  It calls on the passion of shaping one’s own destiny through the beautifully touching love story between the two central characters played by Varun and Anushka.  Sui Dhaaga is a story of self-reliance that I believe will connect to the grassroots level with every Indian. And, I’m really looking forward to working with Varun Dhawan and the team of Maneesh Sharma and Sharat Katariya.
