Asus ZenBook Pro 15:
Taiwanese company ASUS launched its Zenbook Pro UX550GD laptop this week. The laptop is a thin and light laptop with discrete graphics. It has an Intel Coffee Lake-H processor. The laptop is 0.74 inches thick and weighs is 4.1 pounds. Still, the company hasn’t declared a price, but Notebook Italia spotted a listing for the new Zenbook Pro UX550GD laptop on the official website.
The company will propose models with a selection of Core i5-8300H quad-core, Core i7-8750H hexacore, or Core i9-8950HK hexacore processors. In the display section, it comes with a 15.6-inch touchscreen with hundred percent Adobe RGB color gamut or a 15.6 inch, touch or non-touch display with 100 percent sRGB color gamut. The display resolution is 3840 x 2160 pixel or 1920 x 1080 pixel.
In the storage section, it has 8GB or 16GB of DDR4-2400 RAM. The laptop comes with a 256GB or 512GB SATA III SSD or 512GB or 1TB PCIe SSD. Both displays viewing angles is 178 degree. It has 7.3mm bezels around the display for an eighty-three percent screen-to-body ratio. And no matter which processor, storage, or display choices you choose, all models will come with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics.
Other Features:
In the other features section, it has two USB 3.1 Type-A ports, HDMI and headset jacks, two Thunderbolt 3/USB Type-C ports, and a microSD card reader. The laptop has a glass-covered touchpad, stereo speakers (with Harman Kardon certification), a backlit keyboard, and a VGA webcam. And it has 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0 features. There’s no dedicated Ethernet jack, it is not disappointing. Because the company will give an optional USB to Ethernet dongle. And some models will also come with a fingerprint sensor below the keyboard.
The company says the laptop’s 71 Wh battery should provide up to nine hours of battery life. We’ll probably hear more about the new ZenBook Pro 15 at the Computex show in June. But the company does have a habit of declaring new devices months before they’re ready to ship. So I wouldn’t hope to be able to really buy this powerful, compact laptop until later this year.
